Molecularbiology and Clostridium difficile
For the detection of genetic markers of Clostridium difficile, tgcBIOMICS has established several PCR protocols of high sensitivity and specificity, for example:
- C. difficile ribotyping as suggested by the Robert-Koch-Institute
- detection of the binary toxin genes (cdtA/B)
- detection of the toxin genes tcdA and tcdB
- detection of a shortend variant of the tcdC gene
